Lemonade is a very classic drink that can be served any time at any place and that too during the occasion. If you are having guests at your house or you have been to a park for picnics, or if you are just home and want something refreshing to drink, but you are too lazy. Here you can check this guide step by step how to make lemonade from scratch.
Well, lemonade is the solution to your laziness. It will hardly take a very few minutes for the preparation. And you know what, if the kids are taught, even they can make it at home in super easy ways. After all, it can be made with three simple ingredients, namely, sugar, lemon, and water.
Here I am going to teach you two ways of how to make lemonade from scratch; one is with sugar syrup and the other with the conventional method using sugar or sugar powder.

- 1 to 1/2 quarts of water (which is nearly 6 cups)
- Ice
- Slices of Lemon for serving (this is optional)
Equipment’s required

- A Knife
- A Chopping or cutting board
- A Juicer or citrus reamer, or stand mixer with the paddle attachment
- A pan
Step By Step Guide To Make Lemonade From Sugar Syrup
Step 1– Firstly, squeeze all the lemons and strain out the pulp. Well, you can choose not to strain the pulp if you are alright with it. It does not affect the taste, but it is a matter of preference. The best way to do this is to halve the lemons and squeeze out the halves’ juice. You can do this with your hands or by taking the help of your favorite juicer or reamer. You will need a cup of lemon juice.
Step 2– Take the pan and add sugar and a little water to let the sugar melt on a medium flame.
Step 3– After you get a sticky consistency, add it immediately to the lemon juice.
Step 4– Mix them thoroughly so that they combine properly.
Step 5– Now add the water to it and keep it in the freezer so that it becomes chilled. You may keep the lemonade base in a serving pitcher. Add the water and stir it to combine it till you reach the taste preference.
Step 6– It is optional, but you can let the lemonade chill for at least an hour before you serve.
Step 7– It is advisable to serve with ice and lemon slices. However, it is optional to serve the lemonade with ice at the bottom and garnished with lemon slices.
How to Properly Store and Serve the Simple Classic Lemonade
this lemonade can be stored properly for about three to four days in the fridge. But I always prefer to have it made fresh, after all, how much time does this take? Hardly 2 to 5 minutes. If you are concerned about the chilling factor, you can use cold water or ice cubes while serving.
The preparation may take hardly 2 minutes. And the making of the lemonade will take 5 minutes. And for the purpose of chilling it in the refrigerator, it will take an hour. So in total, it will take around 1 hour and 7 minutes. But you can also store this for some more days in the refrigerator once you made it.
